Body armour transferred from Iraq to Afghanistan - 2009-06-28
More than 1,000 sets of the Osprey armour have been checked and categorised by personnel from 33 General Support Squadron, 4 Logistic Support Regiment Royal Logistic Corps (4 LSR), who are currently serving within the region. They are processing most of the kit out of the country.
The body armour is the same type of armour that saved the life of Lance Sergeant Daniel Collins, serving in Helmand with the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, when he was shot in the back earlier this month.
