The 5.11 Tactical Ballistic Vest, ideal for contractors working overseas, police officers and security personnel, features First Choice's patent-pending ballistic/stab-shank resistant panels and 5.11's quality tactical carrier.

Previewed in testing stages by several key defense personnel, the vest has already received tremendous reviews. It's even been featured on the cover of U.S. Calvary's Fall/Winter issue. First Choice, the only licensed body armor manufacturer to produce and distribute this vest on behalf of 5.11, anticipates high demand and as such, they are now accepting advance orders.

The 5.11 Tactical Ballistic Vest is available in select First Choice models that are NIJ-certified Level II or IIIA ballistics, which have the ability to stop special threats including the 9mm Aguila 65GR traveling at 1632 fps (feet per second). It also accepts Level IV 10" x 12" plates. The plates are a crucial option for stopping more dangerous threats like high-powered rifle rounds, specifically the 30.06 M2 AP 166GR traveling at 2880 fps. Providing continuous torso coverage, the vest, available in standard black or tan, conceals waistband weapons and ballistic panels, functioning almost like a "concealed tactical vest."
